Maia has come from an environment with a large number of other animals, she has had limited life experiences prior to coming to the SPCA and she does lack confidence and is particularly shy of new people and environments she is not used to. She is a medium energy dog and would benefit most going into a home with another companion dog that will help build her confidence and trust. She needs a home with experienced dog owners that can help her with this journey.

A home containing a couple without children living at home or older children would be best as she isn’t used to young children and the noise and activity that comes with them.

Maia is great on lead and has shown huge progress since she first arrived at the shelter and is continuing to improve and experience new things all the time.

Maia has plenty of potential and is on the lookout for her forever family to bring out the best in her.

Maia is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for fleas and worms.
